VERNON, Calif. – Bender CCP, Inc., a leading provider of hydroelectric turbine services, field machining, rotating equipment repair, welding and fabrication, is proud to announce the award of a $40 million, three-year contract, with an optional one-year extension, with the Public Utility District No. 1 of Chelan County to provide Hydro Generating Unit Mechanical Site Labor services supporting the utility’s hydroelectric generation fleet.
The award further strengthens Bender CCP’s long-standing presence in the Pacific Northwest hydropower market and reflects the company’s continued commitment to supporting critical renewable energy infrastructure through specialized mechanical services, outage support, turbine rehabilitation, precision machining, and field execution capabilities.
As part of the contract, Bender CCP will support a variety of hydroelectric maintenance, repair, and modernization projects across Chelan County PUD’s generating facilities. Key work scopes anticipated under the agreement include multiple full discharge ring refurbishments, incorporating the installation of engineered inserts, stainless steel weld overlay restoration, and final contour machining to restore hydraulic performance and extend equipment service life.
